[ROBERT-HOUDIN, Jean Eugene (1805-1871)]. Porcelain Magician Statuette. Spain: Lopez Moreno, ca. 1984. Hand painted sculpture based on a likeness of the French “father of modern magic”, Jean Eugene Robert-Houdin. A boy stands behind the magician, assisting him by handing items to him for production. Approximately 20” high. Hallmarked on bottom. Some mild wear, statuette is missing a dove and a prop bottle on the left side, crystal ball has been re-attached. Very good.
