NEIMAN, LeRoy (American, 1921-2012). Ferris Wheel. 1954. Multi-media on paper. Signed by the artist on the lower right corner. Matted and framed under glass. Sight 24 x 19”. Frame size 33 x 27”. Visible chipping, marginal tears, wrinkling, creasing to paper. Neiman was one of the most famous artists of his day, perhaps most famous for his sports artwork, as well as his decades-long association with Playboy magazine. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame for his work, as well as receiving the Order of Lincoln in 2009 from the Governor of Illinois (the state’s highest honor). He had attended the Art Institute of Chicago, later endowing the LeRoy Neiman Center. Visible chipping, marginal tears, wrinkling, creasing to paper. Not examined out of frame.
