BRESLOW, Jack H. (American, b. 1927). Group of 5 fantasy original pen and ink drawings. [Forest Hills, NY, Ca. 1960s]. Drawings on illustration board. Various sizes, from 17 x 7 ½” to 10 x 7 ½”. 2 drawings have black tape on margins, one has clear tape on margins, some light toning, occasional soiling. Good condition. Jack H. Breslow was raised in the Bronx borough of New York City. After completing his military service in the Army Air Corp Jack was formally trained in Paris as well as the Art Student’s League in New York City. Notable instructors included Frank J. Reilly and Jack Faragasso. Jack was a successful commercial artist working in studios typical of the day. Projects included various ad campaigns, covers for Time magazine and science fiction books, movie posters and paintings in the National Portrait Gallery. He simultaneously worked on personal projects that encompassed several phases and bodies of work.
