FIRST AMERICAN EDITION. The basis of the successful 1959 comedy spy film starring Alec Guinness and Burl Ives, directed by Carol Reed. The film was shot on location in Havana two months after Batista’s overthrow; Fidel Castro visited the film set during a scene in Cathedral Square.
