FIRST EDITION OF THIS AWARD-WINNING SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL (it won the 1966 Nebula Award; it was originally a short story in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction in 1960, for which it won the Hugo Award for best short story). This novel is the basis of the 1968 film, Charly, starring Cliff Robertson and Claire Bloom, directed by Ralph Nelson. Cliff Robertson won an Academy Award for Best Actor, and the film won a Golden Globe for Best Screenplay. Currey p. 276.
