FIRST EDITION, SIGNED BY WHARTON on the dedication leaf. The basis of the 1984 film starring Matthew Modine and Nicholas Cage and directed by Alan Parker. The National Board of Review named this film one of the 10 best films of 1984, and it won the Grand Prix Spécial du Jury prize in 1985.
