An early edition of Christie’s first detective novel, first published in America in 1920 by John Lane and in England by The Bodley Head in 1921. Dodd, Mead & Co. acquired the copyright in 1926, and used the unaltered first edition artwork on the front panel for the dust jacket that was used on the first editions of this work which are virtually unobtainable in any edition. A FINE COPY in a highly desirable dust jacket.
