FIRST EDITION, PRESENATION INSCRIPTION FROM GRAFTON on the half-title dated in the year of publication. Grafton signed the book a second time on the title-page. This is the first book in the internationally famous Kinsey Millhone alphabet mystery novels. Grafton wrote the novel during a divorce and admitted about her husband that she “would lie in bed at night thinking of ways to kill him”.
