Provenance: Larry McMurtry (his bookplate, which he designed, features the horseshoe-shaped brand his father and grandfather used on the McMurtry cattle), from his personal library at his home in Archer City.

FIRST EDITION of this scarce title. In Camus’ own words: “This book declares that even within the limits of nihilism it is possible to find the means to proceed beyond nihilism. [The Myth of Sisyphus] sums itself up for me as a lucid invitation to live and to create, in the very midst of the desert.”
