4tos. Approximately 900 specimens on 700 leaves, nearly all with manuscript notes and loose manuscript Contents leaves; some samples with facing manuscript descriptive leaves. Early 20th century half dark purple calf over marbled boards, burgundy gilt morocco lettering-pieces, spines ruled in gilt (few volumes with joint repairs, some general wear, each volume has several unused leaves not part of the approximately 700 leaves mentioned above). Provenance: each volume with two modern bookplates of rare book collector R. C. Fiske (one bookplate “Nth Walsham,” the other “Morningthorpe”). “Classes” include classes of British Plants, 6-18, 21-24 and British Flowers “Class 5th” (two volumes). An incredible collection of British plants.
