Abeel… by Alexander Gunn (1812); The Healing Waters of Bethesda… by Rev. TWO COPIES OF THE RARE THIRD EDITION OF THIS IMPORTANT ALEXANDER HAMILTON PAMPHLET. Establishing a National Bank was central to the founding of the economic system of the nascent United States, and one of Hamilton’s greatest achievements. The 1811 edition was published in an effort to renew the charter of the National Bank, which was set to expire in 1812, after years of shepherding economic growth. The charter was not renewed, which led to economic stagnation and hardship - a second National Bank was established in 1816 to revitalize the economy. Evans 22998.
