FINSTER, Howard (American, 1916-2001). The Devil and His Wife Plan to Take Over the Whole World. # 2,608. Early 1980s. Carved and painted wood. 20 ¾” x 14 ½ w x 3 ¼” d. The work was carved and constructed from ¾” wood panel and attached with nails with some glue. Main sculptural piece is loose from nails but does stand straight. Surface dirt overall. Snake’s face has some wood loss. Light handling marks. Good condition.
