[FOLK ART]. Hand-Made and Painted Tavern Figure Tossing Game. [Dubuque, IA, Ca. early 20th century]. Large and heavy hand-built and painted figure of a man with a central “water” glass in figure’s chest and pop-up “beer glass” on figure’s right shoulder (when the water glass in the chest is hit hard enough, the glass on the shoulder of the figure pops up, and the thrower would get a free beer). With string and pulley mechanism where the bartender can easily reset the figure (currently missing string, but in restorable condition). Approximately 66 ½ h x 20 w x 7” d. Worn and scuffed due to age and use, with paint loss overall with evidence of some paint restoration to water glass. Very good condition. An unusual and charming one-of-a-kind item. Third party shipping required.
