[FOLK ART]. “A Merry Christmas 1935” Hand-Made Large Scrapbook. [1935]. Elephant folio scrapbook with nine cloth leaves, all decoratively edged with red yarn. Leaves approximately 24 x 17”. Leaves covered with color and black and white magazine clippings. Bound in full mauve cloth over thin boards, front board hand-lettered in gold. Some general wear, soiling to binding, occasional soiling to cloth leaves. Very good condition. This charming, large hand-made holiday keepsake has numerous homespun Americana images and has an obsessive folk art pattern quality to placement of collage elements.
