8 color printed cards (sight of each, 10 ½ x 12 ½”), handsomely matted and together in three frames, old center folds slightly visible. A RARE SET, POSSIBLY THE ONLY ONE EXTANT, including the desirable title-card. The Desert Sheik was a silent drama film inspired by the 1898 novel “The Tragedy of the Korosko” by Arthur Conan Doyle, and directed by Tom Terriss that starred Wanda Hawley, Nigel Barrie, and Pedro de Cordoba.

The Tragedy of the Korosko is a suspenseful tale of a Nile riverboat party’s encounter with the Dervishes. Doyle had in fact made such a trip with his family in January 1896.
