DAVIDSON, Andrew (British, b. 1958). A group of wood engravings in three states, a sheet of stamps with Davidson’s artwork, and five first issue covers with his art. [England: ca. 1990s]. A large sheet of six wood engravings, each in three states (black and white signed by Davidson, hand-painted in green, and the finished color art signed by Davidson) affixed to large sheet (a total of 18 engravings). Each engraving approximately 3 ¾ x 4 ¼”. The large sheet is approximately 28 ½ x 20”, with a cloudy plastic sheet and a sheet of blue paper overlays affixed at top margin. The stories depicted are The Final Problem, The Reigate Squire, The Hound of the Baskervilles, and The Greek Interpreter. -- A sheet of 100 unused commemorative stamps. Approximately 20 ¾ x 13 ½”. The stamps depict the same stories as above, but not with the same artwork; five first day covers, depicting the same stories as above; and a photocopy of a letter from Davidson to the Unicover Corporation concerning the above engravings.
