A group of photographs and other items related to tributes to Jeremy Brett by his friend and colleague, Edward Hardwicke. [England: ca. 1990s-2000s]. Including: 27 color photographs of the dedication of a bench and tree on Clapham Common in honor of Brett, financed by Hardwicke. 25 photos are 6 x 9”; 2 are 10 x 8”. Photos depict Hardwicke and others at the dedication ceremony; the two larger photos depict the tree, and Brett with the tree in the background. Offered with these photos are two small pieces of the tree’s bark, one with a sticker “Jeremy’s Tree” in Linda Pritchard’s hand (pieces approximately 3 ½” and 6” long). And a chrome engraved plate memorializing Brett for his run of The Secret of Sherlock Holmes at the Wyndham’s Theatre. Plate approximately 6” in diameter. “Jeremy Brett 193-1995 ‘I lost a friend whom I regarded as the best and wisest man I have ever known” The Regulars Wyndham’s Theatre 29th November 1995”. Offered with three color photos of the theatre marquee (4 x 6”) and a program from the play.
