A group of 7 sterling silver or silver-plated items believed to be from Jeremy Brett’s collection. [V.p., ca. 20th century]. Including: a cruet condiment caddy. Approximately 7 ½ x 6 x 9”. With “JB” engraved on one side, and with the “G. C. W./E. P. N. S.” hallmark on bottom. -- A bottle holder with leather bottom. Approximately 3” in diameter, and 2 ½” high. Some wear, chipping to leather. With “B JD / WD” hallmark on base. -- A curved cigarette case with hinged lid and press button clasp. With “JB” engraved on lid. Approximately 3 x 3 ½ x ¾”. Some tarnishing. With “W. H. S.” hallmark inside. -- Curved card case with hinged lid. “JB” engraved on one side. Approximately 1 ½ x 3 x ¼”. Some tarnishing. No hallmark visible. -- Match case with chain attachment and hinged lid. “JBF [?]” engraved on one side. Approximately 1 ¼ x 1 ¾ x ¼”. Some tarnishing, minor dents. Hallmark on inner lid (illegible). -- Ornate scroll or certificate holder with pull-off lid. Approximately 11” long and 2” in diameter. Not engraved. No hallmark visible. With a small ink marking on pull-off lid (“PC 138”). -- An ornate magnifying glass. Approximately 9” long. No engraving or hallmarks visible. This group was acquired by Robert Hess from a deceased Jeremy Brett / Sherlock collector, but cannot guarantee that these items (or some of these items) are from Brett’s collection.
