[LLADRO]. [FURIO, Salvador, sculptor]. “Don Quixote” and “Sancho Panza”. [Spain: Lladro, 1970, 1969-1989]. A pair of glossy porcelain statues of a seated Don Quixote holding a book, and an admiring Sancho Panza gazing upon his master (produced 1969 until it was finally retired in 1989 – both statues are retired). Inventory numbers #1030, 1031. Approximately 14” and 11” high, respectively. Both with Lladro’s hallmark stamps on the bottom. Don Quixote is missing his sword, and neither has their bases. These were never issued as a pair by Lladro.
