HOOVER, J. Edgar (1895-1972). Group of Five Typed Letters Signed on F. B. I. Stationery. Washington, D. C., 1950s. All letters addressed to Miss Barbara Joan Hrody and signed by Hoover, all concerning her employment as a stenographer in the Chicago F. B. I. office during the 1950s. Three letters are 7 x 8”, two are 10 ½ x 8”. In addition, there is one typed letter signed on F. B. I. stationery to Barbara J. Hrody from the Special Agent in Charge, D. S. Hostetter (10 ½ x 8”). All letters are stapled together in the upper left hand corner. One Hoover letter (10 ½ x 8”) is torn at the left margin and has vertical creases. All letters with horizontal creases, hole punches on left margins. A good group.
