[INCUNABLE LEAVES]. Group of Seven Printed and One Manuscript Incunable Leaves. [V.p., 1475-1499]. 4to leaves on paper (manuscript leaf is on vellum). Three printed leaves with rubricated initials on rectos and versos, manuscript leaf has rubricated initials on recto and verso. Sizes range from 269 x 195 mm. to 344 x 245 mm. Some general wear, toning, occasional soiling, ink notes (manuscript leaf is heavily dampstained). Good. Included are: five leaves from “Lectura Super Quinque”… published by Johan Amerbach (ca. 1487-88; these printed leaves have the rubricated initials mentioned above); one leaf from Laertius’ “Lives of the Philosophers” published by Nicolas Jenson, 1475; One leaf from “Die Chronica van der hilliger Stat von Coellen” printed by Johann Koelhoff the Younger in 1499 (leaf has a woodcut portrait on recto and verso); one manuscript leaf on vellum from “Miracles of the Early Italian Fathers” (ca. 1500).
