[PROCTER, John (1809-1860), printer]. A Pair of Letterpress Maritime Broadsides. Hartlepool: J. Procter, [ca. 1840s]. Broadsides on white paper. Sizes range from 17 ½ x 11” to 10 x 7 ½”. Rolled, some wear, soiling, the larger broadside (“The Hull and Stores”) with several horizontal creases, both have central holes from the printer’s spike. Good. Titles are: “Seaton Carew. To Be Sold By Auction… Mr. Henry Laybourn, Auctioneer, the Hull and Stores of all that Valuable Vessel the “John Innes,”...” and “West Hartlepool and London Trader. The Schooner “Ruby,” C. Hardwick, Commander, Will leave London, on the 31st instant, for West Hartlepool.”
