String-binding missing, binding repaired at a later date (most likely glued - no string present). Some toning, wear, foxing, minor soiling, spine worn. Very good. The author/composer was compelled to publish this anti-slavery song because music publishers of the day refused to publish it. The Hutchinson singers were one of the most popular singers in the mid-nineteenth century. From the Mark Rucker Collection.
