And “Weiss All-Stars of Cleveland, Ohio” Postcard. [Ca. 1905]. Portrait of 12 male players or managers, an unidentified female, and Alta Weiss, the pitcher (1890-1964), and a sensation who drew massive crowds to watch her play (she later used her earnings to attend medical school and became a doctor). All of the uniforms shown on this postcard state: “Weiss A S”. 3 ½ x 5 ½”. Some toning, rubbing, light occasional thumbsoiling to cards, all have pencil or ink handwriting on the verso of the cards, and the Tomales and Weiss cards are stamped and canceled.
