Martin Magdaleno Dihigo Llanos was a legendary Cuban pitcher and second baseman, nicknamed “The Immortal” and “The Maestro.” He played for various teams in Cuba and the United States (Cuban Stars (East), Homestead Grays, Hilldale Giants and the New York Cubans) in the Negro leagues and the Latin American leagues. He was an All-Star for the Negro League twice and MVP in the Cuban League four times; he’s been inducted into five different halls of fame. Adolfo Domingo De Guzmán “Dolf” Luque was a Cuban pitcher for the MLB, being the first Latino pitcher in the MLB (for the Cincinnati Reds), as well as a famous manager in the Mexican leagues (besides being in the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame, he is also in the Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame, as well as the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame). Original photos of Dihigo and Luque are uncommon, especially during game play. Encapsulated by PSA, Type III. From the Mark Rucker Collection.
