[BASEBALL]. Original Press Photograph of Detroit Tigers Player “Wahoo” Sam Crawford at Bat, PSA Type I Authentic. ONE OF A KIND. [Ca. 1910s]. Original black and white photo (6 x 10”) of Crawford in Tigers uniform at bat during a game. Upper left and both corners on right clipped or chipped, a few creases, some wear, soiling, one tear (cloth tape repair on verso) at lower margin, pencil note (“Sam Crawford”) and the inkstamp of “The Evening Bulletin Reference Library” on verso. Verso soiled and worn. Good. Samuel Earl Crawford, nicknamed “Wahoo Sam,” was an outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds, and the Detroit Tigers. A Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, he was the home run leader twice, and the AL RBI leader three times. Encapsulated by PSA, Type I Authentic.
