Included: Certificate of Baptism for Antonio Lopez, listing Antonio Lopez and Virginia Gonsalves as parents (Lopez’ mother was a Portuguese baroness). Brooklyn: St. Augustine, January 5th 1898. 8vo page on folding 4to sheet (approximately 7 ½ x 4 ½”; upper third is torn away, lower crease is partially torn). And certificate of confirmation. Brooklyn, NY: St. Augustine Rectory, July 8th, 1908. Handwritten certificate on Rectory stationery with embossed stamp. Approximately 5 ½ x 8 ½” (toned, creased, soiled). And Certificate of Marriage for Antonio Lopez and Virginia Gonsalves. Brooklyn: St. Augustine, 8th Dec. 1894. 8vo page on folding 4to sheet (approximately 7 ½ x 4 ½”; creased, toned). And a 1966 copy of Vincent Lopez’ birth certificate (listed as “Antonio” on the certificate). New York: Department of Health Bureau of Records and Statistics, Borough of Brooklyn, Mar 28, 1966. 4to page. Document has photocopy of the original certificate, and with embossed stamp (approximately 9 ¼ x 6 ¾”; creased, rubbed). “Letters for my Son A. J. Lopes. [Dunkirk, NY: St. Mary’s Monastery, 1908]. 31 4to pages on 16 leaves of ruled paper. This appears to be a fair copy of Antonio Lopes’ letters to his son, Antonio (later Vincent), taken from a notebook. Pages approximately 8 ½ x 7” (worn, chipped, toned, torn). It appears that Antonio senior became a priest in later life. Good.
