Long Pants. First National, 1927. One sheet (41 x 27”). Color stone lithograph poster for the silent comedy, starring Harry Langdon in one of his best-known roles, directed by Frank Capra – although an acrimonious production led Langdon to fire Capra. Langdon finally gets his first pair of long trousers, and during a chance encounter falls for Vamp and drug smuggler Bebe Blair (Alma Bennett). He’s prepared to forget about his small-town girlfriend Priscilla (Priscilla Bonner), yet agrees to marry her. When he finds out Bebe has been jailed, Langdon is ready to turn to desperate measures. Minor touch-ups and restoration along folds; restoration in margins. Archivally framed and matted, overall 45 x 31”. A RARE poster for one the marquee films of Langdon’s career.
