ELLIOTT, Freeman (American, b. 1922). Original Artwork for “Janet Leigh Cutouts and Coloring / 2 Books in 1.” (Merrill Co. Publishers, 1953). Vintage original (2) artworks accomplished in gouache and pencil on artist’s illustration boards, mounted together into archival mat for display. Created for the front and back covers of the “Janet Leigh Cutouts and Coloring 2 Books in 1” by noted pinup illustrator Freeman Elliott, who studied under Gil Elvgren.
Accompanied by the published color illustrated 56-page publication with cardstock covers. Paintings retain original publisher credit tags on margin and the book remains unpunched and uncolored. All in vintage very good condition. Rendered colorfully and in beautiful detail, the pieces are matted side-by-side for framing. Fine condition. A unique and interesting piece of pop culture artwork.
