Archive of Female CBS Radio Photographic Stills. 1940s. An unsorted collection of approximately 200 photographs of female radio personalities, each with a studio descriptive label attached, detailing the name and program in which the subject would be appearing. Nearly all photos (7 x 9”) represent female performers and couples, appearing on the radio, including many film and television actors of the immediate postwar period. Some of the names noted are Judy Garland, Claudette Colbert, Olivia de Havilland, Agnes Moorhead, Eve Arden, Helen Hayes, Ingrid Bergman, Paulette Goddard, Janet Leigh, Jane Russell, Dina Shore, Ann Sothern, and many others. In some instances there are a few photos of single star, but there is no duplication of images. Most with curling but will lay flat with proper storage. All 7 x 9”. Very good.
