1. Spalding “Eureka” baseball. Chicago: Spalding, ca. 1880s-1900s. “Eureka” baseball. Approximately 2 ½” in diameter. With faint “Spalding Trademark” and “Eureka” stamps. Wear and soiling due to use. A very good example of a rare turn-of-the-century baseball, now housed in a clear plastic box
2. Early baseball bat with rounded “mushroom” style knob. Circa 1860s. Approximately 30 ½” long, knob diameter approximately 1 ¾”. Some wear, soiling, good.
3-4. Two early baseball guides: Constitution and By-Laws of the Capital Base Ball Club of Jefferson City, MO (ca. 1880s); Hand-Book of Base Ball Published by Philip Wilson & Co…. (ca. 1886). Both in original wrappers (some wear, creasing). A wonderful group.
