MANTLE, Mickey (1931-1991). Pair of Signed, Framed Photographs, including: black and white photograph of Mantle teaching a child how to bat. [1954]. Signed by Mantle in blue ink near the top (unclear when this photo was signed). Sight approximately 6 ½ x 7”. Some visible faint creasing to photo. Matted and framed under plexiglass - mat is in the familiar Yankee pinstripe design and is framed with a small brass and enamel “New York Yankees” coin. Frame size approximately 18 ½ x 14 ¼”. Beneath the photo is a plaque with the following legend: “1954 SPRING TRAINING CAMP Yankee outfielder, Mickey Mantle, showing a young lad from Germany how to handle the bat. - Original 1954 News Wire Photo-”. Fine. And with a color photo of Mantle in his Yankees uniform. [N.d.] Signed by Mantle in blue ink over his uniform. Sight approximately 9 ½ x 7 ½”. Matted and framed under plexiglass. Frame size approximately 16 ¼ x 13 ½”. Fine. Both framed photos come with PSA/DNA COAs and the color photo has the PSA/DNA sticker at the lower right corner (no sticker is visible on the black and white photo). Neither examined out of frame.
