WILLIS, Fritz (1907-1979). Hand-Accented Pin-Up Ozalid Print. 1960s. A prime example of the “pin-up” girl created by master illustrator Fritz Willis. This portrait features a scantily clad woman in heels, garter and stockings with an alluring gaze beckoning a guest to join her at the table for some ‘vino.’ From the artist’s workshop, Willis used these ozalids to sketch accents in an exploratory stage before proceeding to full oil on canvas.
