Walt Disney’s Railroad Featuring the Lilly Belle Locomotive named for Lillian Disney. Philadelphia: Bachmann Trains, [2007]. Complete HO scale train set, with locomotive and tender and four cars (including caboose). With 47 x 38” oval tracks and electric control. In original box with manufacturer’s shrinkwrap (occasional wear, bumping to box and shrinkwrap, train is in mint, unused condition). “Born out of the need for a way to relax and a lifelong passion for trains, Walt Disney built the Carolwood Pacific Railroad in the backyard of his Holmby Hills home. The one-eighth scale locomotive, named “Lilly Belle” in honor of his wife, was handcrafted by Walt, Roger Broggie and his team of talented machinists at the Disney Studios. This railroad provided the inspiration for Disneyland, where the Lilly Belle is displayed today.” (From the box).
