[HAND-COLORED PLATE]. [BONAPARTE, Napoleon (1769-1821), subject]. Revue du Quintidi. Paris: Chez Auber, [1803]. A rare engraving of Napoleon Bonaparte and the parade at the Palace of Tuileries upon his ascension to power as First Consul of France in 1803. Beautifully colored by Duplessis Bertaux (1747-1818), the print has a large head and shoulders portrait of the First Consul and below a view of the Tuileries parade shown in great detail. Sight approximately 16 ½ x 11 ¼”. Framed under glass in period burled wood frame. Frame size approximately 18 ¼ x 13”. Print is toned and soiled, some surface cracking to frame. Very good.
