Illustrated with hand-colored vignette title-page, uncolored engraved title-page, hand-colored dedication leaf (dedicated to the Duke of Wellington with his coat of arms), the rare hand-colored full-length portrait of Wellington, and 50 hand-colored aquatint plates. With 4-page “Names of Subscribers”. Some pages watermarked “J. Whatman 1812.” Beautifully bound by Bayntun in full red levant morocco, boards ruled in gilt and decoratively paneled in gilt, spine elaborately tooled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, gilt board-edges and turn-ins, light brown watered silk pastedowns and liners, (minor rubbing to corners, some occasional light soiling to boards, front liner just coming apart from the marbled paper backing, some occasional foxing in text.
