[FRENCH MILITARY UNIFORM PIECES]. Pair of First Empire French Officer Epaulettes and One First Empire Officer’s Epaulette for the Dragoons of the Garde Imperiale. [France, ca. 1810s-1830s]. The pair of epaulettes (Epaulette de Lieutenant d'Infanterie de Ligne) are in gold fabric with fringes. The Dragoon epaulette is in dark brown cloth and fringes, but this also has the imperial crowned eagle button of the imperial guard (and has the metallic holder on verso with the legend, “Marque de Fabrique” with the imperial insignia). Both approximately 6 x 4”, not including fringes. Some general soiling, wear, the Dragoon epaulette shows more age wear. Generally very good.
