Beautiful black and white engraved image of Grant in uniform on horseback on the battlefield, with text printed in red. Sight approximately 22 x 13 ½”. Matted and framed under glass. Frame size approximately 28 ½ x 19 ½”. Broadside has some toning, soiling, a few visible tears (not examined out of frame - broadside may be mounted), one vertical and one horizontal crease. Very good. Exceedingly rare. Offered with “Grant Memorial Number / Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Newspaper.” [New York, 1885]. Engraved cover illustration of a dead Grant mourned by Columbia. Sight approximately 15 x 9 ½”. Matted and framed under glass. Frame approximately 20 ¼ x 16”. Print toned, else fine. And “Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Newspaper / The Soldier’s Burial…” [New York: 1885]. Engraved cover of a soldier playing Taps for Grant. Sight approximately 15 ½ x 10 ½”. Matted and framed under glass. Frame size approximately 18 ½ x 14 ¾”. Engraving toned, soiled, with a marginal tear visible. Good. Neither examined out of frame.
