And with an embossed carte de visite. Circular photographic portrait of Sherman in embossed patriotic border. On verso: “Agents Can Make / Salisbury Bro. & Co., Manufacturers of Gold and Gold Plated Jewelry, also, Carte de Visites of all Noted Persons. Trade List Sent Free. Providence, R. I. $10 Per Day” Approximately 4 x 2 ½”. Some toning, rubbing, light soiling. Very good. This appears to be a salesman’s sample card, featuring Sherman.
