[AFRICAN AMERICANA]. Group of Nearly 55 Lithographed Trade Cards with Racist Imagery and 4 Stereoscopic Cards. [V.p., ca. 1880s-1960s]. Most trade cards are chromolithographs. Sizes range from 7 ½ x 5 ½ to 2 x 3”. Some general wear, soiling, creasing, some with scuffing, or some with paper residue on versos. Generally very good. Some companies include: Dixon’s Stove Polish, Garland Stoves, White Swan Soap, N. K. Fairbank & Co. Soap-Makers, Old Kentucky Tobacco, Coon-ard Lines Boat Ticket to Africa (racist card created by American Nazi George Lincoln Rockwell), and more. And with 4 stereoscopic cards depicting African Americans. Three in color. Approximately 3 ¼ x 7”. Some general wear, soiling, creasing. Good. Cards include: “Us’n our New Pups.” “Dem Brats Done Gone and Stole dat Melon.” “I Bet dis am a Good One.” “Mrs. Newlywed’s New Wench Cook.”
