Attractive section of a larger letterpress broadside advertising the “experiments in Egyptian sorcery” presented by “Mr. S,” including a feat called The Pie of Morocco, in which “Mr. S will cause one of the ladies of the house to disappear, and afterwards be found in the inside of a pie.” Wood engraving at the center depicts the feat in performance on a stage laden with magic apparatus. Gilt wooden frame, 11 ½ x 12”.
