Spirits Barrel. Vienna: S. Klingl, 1930s. Plated barrel is shown empty, then capped with paper on either end. A spigot is inserted into one end, and when turned, virtually any drink called for by members of the magician’s audience is produced from the apparently empty metal barrel. Handsomely made, with a quantity of modern gimmicked tumblers to facilitate the performance of the effect, metal spigot, a low acrylic stand, and a modern wooden stand for display. Two faint dents to surface, else very good. An exceedingly attractive and compact version of this classic “barrel of spirits” effect.
