1. New Bedford Whale Boat model by William Hitchcock (American, 1928-2006). Whaling longboat with solid hull mounted with brass risers on a wood inlay base. Includes glass case with brass edge frame. 9 x 18 ½ x 5 ½”; base 7 ¼ x 20 ½”. Provenance: Shipwright Gallery, Edgartown, MA.
2. & 3. Two boats signed by Nelson Plaisance (American, b. 1945). One cedar Louisiana rowboat with shells and net. 1988. Natural finish. 6 ¾ x 14 ½ x 9 ¾”; base 10 x 14 ¾”. One green painted hunting boat with ducks, oar, and rifle. 1988. No varnish. 6 x 16 ½ x 7 ¾”; base 8 x 17”.
4. Unsigned beige painted row boat with duck, bag, and rifle. Marked “BM 1985”. 5 ½ x 16 ½ x 7 ½”; base 8 x 17”. 5. Handcrafted Inuit fishing boat by Peter Saunders (Jacopee Nakashuk) (Inuit, b.1952). 1990. Animal hide and wood. Original sale tag Certified by La Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec (original sale tag). 7 x 24 ½ x 4 ¼”; base 5 ½ x 25 ½”.
