Illustrated with plates in 2 states (black and white and colored in watercolor by Fred Money (1882-1956)) and with intertextual illustrations also colored by Money). 302 pp. Beautifully bound by René Aussord in contemporary full green levant morocco, spine lettered in gilt in compartments, four raised bands, gilt board edges and turn-ins, marbled endleaves, all edges gilt, original wrappers bound-in, housed in contemporary marbled paper slipcase with morocco edges at opening (spine sunned to brown, front joint just starting at upper edge, morocco on slipcase also sunned to brown; the interior is bright and fresh). Fine. LIMITED EDITION, #XI (initialed “F. F.” - the publisher) OF 30 DELUXE COPIES ON JAPON OU VELIN D’ARCHES (OUT OF A TOTAL EDITION OF 1,000 COPIES) WITH AN ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR BY ROBAUDI. Robaudi was one of the leading illustrators of his day, illustrating works by Dumas, Sands, Balzac, Verlaine, and others.
