Tompkins, the sixth Vice President of the United States (under James Monroe) and the fourth Governor of New York. Approximately 15 ¼ x 22”. 2 vertical and 2 horizontal creases (paper toned, with tears at creases, some edgewear, several creases to lower right corner). Good. This document grants land in Montgomery County to David Drummond; it mentions Governor George Clinton (1739-1812), a Founding Father (“well beloved George Clinton, Esquire, Governor of our said State…”).
