One-color pictorial broadside advertising a season-opening performance of this historic circus helmed by English showman, Thomas Taplin Cooke (1782 – 1866). Bearing a wood-engraved image of an elaborately costumed horse rearing on a platform near a dancing man who plays a stringed instrument. The show featured equestrian acts, acrobatics, a “Liliputian” horse, a strong man, and clowns. 29 ¾ x 9 ¾”. Older linen backing with tack holes. Small tears, chipping and soiling.
