Letterpress playbill for a performance by a troupe of itinerant glassworkers at Lawrence Hall in New London, Connecticut. This event featured a working glass steam engine, the “Queen of Beauty,” a gift show where members of the troupe manufactured glassworks which were given out to attendees, a “grand social dance without extra charge”, and a “Conundrum Night” with pronouncements such as the “Gentleman that brings the most Ladies to the Hall” and the “Homeliest Man”.
