“Seated Man in Pinstripe Suit” Marshall Field’s Animatronic Christmas Window Display Figure. Chicago: Marshall Field’s, 1982. Large painted plaster figure (“Walnut Room; Figure V”) of a Victorian-era seated man in gray and black shoes, dark gray suit (Melton stripes), white shirt with red and white patterned tie. One hand was apparently holding an object which is now missing. On wooden base with motor and plug. 33” high. Some wear, figure’s head is facing downward but can move up if animatronics are repaired. Very good. From the collection of the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago. This, and the other Marshall Field's Christmas Window display lots were created by Virginia Paxson in collaboration with the legendary New York design/fabrication firm, Spaeth Design. Third party shipping required.
