Apothecary Display Jar with Great Seal Eagle and Cinchona. Circa late 19th-early 20th century Large glass apothecary display jar with wooden lid and base, with reverse painting decal of the Great Seal of the United States; an eagle and with the traditional motto, “E Pluribus Unum.” With “Cinchona” text lower, likely referring to cinchona bark, a medicinal plant containing quinine used to treat malaria. Approx. 26 h x 9 ½” diameter. Chipping paint on lid. Small chip to bottom lip. Very good.
