Three Marx Windup Cars. Whoopee, Komikal Kop, Coo Coo. [New York]: Louis Marx & Co. ca. 1930s. Group of three tin lithograph windup toy “crazy cars,” which drive erratically forward, backwards, and up on back wheels while the driver stands up and sits down. Including: “Whoopee” cowboy car with cows on the wheels. – “Coo Coo” car. – and “Beat It / The Komikal Kop,” with dog riding on the side. – Length each approx. 8”. All with scattered paint loss; surface abrasions; dust accumulation. Komikal Kop is not working. Mechanisms on the other two work but are finicky and may need adjustment.
